SteamCream is set out to be a face and body moisturiser, although given the size of the tin I would just say the face and perhaps dry patches of skin.
The general concept of the moisturiser is that it's light weight; so sinks into your skin without a long wait; it also is made from high quality and natural ingredients and a 'shot of steam' infuses it all together. The folks at SteamCream have done research on other facial moisturisers, in the end they wanted something that was different. By different they wanted something that could actually deliver on the promises that was made on it. They wanted a moisturiser that would skin right into the skins many layers, to moisturise all the way through and reaches the areas that needs more TLC fast. The steam process that they use isn't known, which is probably a good thing to keep under their hat really.
The SteamCream idea came from the well known company Lush Cosmetics, or simply Lush. A few of the CEO's wanted to try something different, they had to close down Be Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful due to the business not making a profit and so this idea came to life.
It's not simply a UK idea, the people on board worked alongside a few people in Lush Japan to come up with this gorgeous moisturiser!
The ingredients in this moisturiser is simple and basic and it's easy to see why it's for all skin types:
Oatmeal Infusion, Orange Flower Water, Almond Oil, Cocoa Butter, Jojoba Oil, Lavender oil, Chamomile Blue, Orange Flower Absolute, Rose Absolute, Neroli Oil.
It's also Vegan and comes in 75g pots.
And the pots are gorgeous!

These tins are so unique, SteamCream keep adding to their collection of gorgeous tins! Once you have finished with the moisturiser why throw away the tin? There are plenty of things to be used with the tin!
| An earring tin!
I also have my face powder in another tin too. But these tins can be used for anything that is small and you want it to look good on your dresser.
From a personal view point, I do really like SteamCream. It works well on my face, it gives my skin the protection it needs without being overly light and making my dry patches cry out for moisture and it's not too oily that means it upsets the oilier parts of my skin either. It works pretty well with my combination skin, giving it the right amount of moisture that it is after and so this fits rather nicely for my skin.
Would I say it's the best and I would never try another moisturiser?
No.
Without sounding like I am stabbing SteamCream in the back, because it does the job I want it to do, it doesn't make my skin feel really soft and kind of silk like. I am sure I have heard people who have, sadly I am not one of them, I will still try out other moisturisers to see if there is one that would be perfect for my skin.
This one would be a great one though for people with sensitive skin and for teenagers - girls most likely - who are wanting to try out facial moisturisers, this would be perfect for them to test out and the tins looking funky would make it a win as well!
SteamCream is priced at £12.95 at the time of writing this; it can be found in John Lewis and online at SteamCream.co.uk - you can also look for stockists near you!
